I've looked at that book - and until I unravel the "mystery" surrounding my McKinney person (William McKinney) who was shot by a man named Wells in Mt. Ida, Arkansas in 1840, and find out exactly WHO William McKinney was kin to (I strongly believe his brother's name was Reuben McKinney), I can't trace backwards any farther. Of course things further complicate themselves, as the Widow McKinney (Alie, Alia, Mahalia) marries a James Gibbins, and drops out of sight after 1845 or so. I thank you so much for offering...I know how dear time can be, but right now until I make the connection (only been looking for it for about 20 years now), I can't get there from here. Which is maddening for a fact. I have visited Mt. Ida, and I have proof that they were there. I have the written remnances (?) of Gladys Alexander who was a great-granddaughter of William & Alia who swore about the murder of William. But so far, no fact, nada.....other than some info from the Montgomery County Historical Society.....sigh....I'll keep on keeping on....... Thanks again tho for your kind and VERY generous offer!!!!!
