Usually it was because they had to count the families and someone related in the same house didnt get a new count. You can see where they changed family numbers on the left side on that census. Did you notice Lakey Lakey is listed as a m with F written over it, and son with daughter over it, or maybe viceversa? makes me think someone else gave the info. I also agree that Mary was listed with her mother and again with her husband. Walter A Renfro son of BA and Lucy - Apr 4 1873 - Feb 22 1899 is buried at Walnut Grove Cem. This doesnt jive with the statement that he died when he was 18. Also in that cemetery is Harvey D Renfro son of Walter and Damia Nov 27 1894 - July 4 1895. The tax roll are available on microfilm at the library. If Nathan paid taxes and then dropped off it might indicate when he died. In the Collin County marriage files Harriett Kinson married Richard L Harper 7 May 1877, We havent copied all the records.
