Isaac Walker and his family migrated to Collin County TX from Claiborne Co Tennessee after the Civil War and remained there through his death in 1914. He was a brother to my 2nd great grandfather, and I am trying to prove his Confederate service, but there were lots of Isaac Walkers in Tennessee regiments and I need a paper trail. I don’t find him in the on-line index of Confederate pensions for Collin County. Was there a Confederate Veterans organization in the area, and if so do their records still exist? He is buried at Cottage Hill Cemetery near Celina. Is there a local SCV or UDC chapter that marks the Confederate graves there? He might even have a Confederate stone, for all I know. An obituary might help, but all I know is that he died in 1914. I looked at the LDS catalogue on line for microfilm of a local newspaper, but didn’t find one. He's in Collin Co in the 1910 census, with "CA" written in the box for Civil War service. Any leads will be appreciated. Nancy Cassada Nelson Bordentown NJ
