Laurie et al.. I learned something of interest the other day, which I think some are not aware of. People who post on the message board may NOT be subbed to the email list (or even aware of it??) But, their postings are gatewayed over to the email list. Replies made on the list, are not sent in return to the message board. One lady had posted on the board... and was not aware at all of several good replies that were on the list. I took a minute to send a direct mail to her, and raised her antenna to what was there. I personally like it that replies on the list go BACK to the entire list, since you never know what clue you might pick up from someone else's response. SOME lists are configured that replies only go back to the original person. That depends on the list manager. In the body of posts that come from the board, note that there ususally is a hyperlink to the original post (on the board). Many times, I click over to the board, especially since it does allow attachments, and those can be seen there. I think genforum also has locality message boards. Hope this helps someone!
