Cynthia Tate was married to Rev. John Tate & Robert H. Tate's was their son. Cynthia is buried at Crossroads & Rev. John is buried at Old Pilot Grove Cemetery. The other Tate's at Crossroads are also connected. I didn't know that land grants were issued many years after. Thank you for that information! Robert was born in 1841 in TN and married Elizabeth Cornelia Taylor d/o Alexander Smith & Mary Davis Taylor . He and Elizabeth had two children: William W. Tate and Dora Tate. They were born in 1862 & 1863. Rev. John Tate died in 1869 at which time his will stated his son Robert had already passed away. So, somewhere between the time Elizabeth & Robert's youngest child was conceived and the time Rev. John Tate passed away, Robert H. Tate died. I've looked for years trying to find something about him and just can't find anything other than when he was born, who his parents were, who his siblings were, who he married and who his children were. Can't find a death date, what he did for a living, or anything. I know that is the way with many ancestors of families, but I don't want to give up hope of finding him somewhere. Anything.... Same goes with Robert H. Tate's son , William W. Tate. Can't find anything on him except when he was born, who he married, who he fathered, and at least the year he died and that he died in Sacred Heart, Oklahoma. However there is nothing from Sacred Heart that I can find either. He and his wife lived in Hunt County, and I can't find anything on him there either. Not going to give up on him either.... Sometimes just one tiny bit of information can open up a can of worms, and I keep searching for that tiny bit !!! Thanks for the help, I appreciate it !
