    2. Janice Rozzell is correct. This is all public record, and there isn't any copyright on public records. The information IS public, for it is our relatives who are buried there, it is information from their tombstones WE'VE bought, or whose information is in the hands of our public servants at the courthouse. Anyone who writes a book containing names and information from cemetaries or courthouses is listing public record. With that in mind, a copyright infringement does not occur when you are repeating information contained in any public record that was attained in writing the book.
