I tried a different search angle & clicked on Family Trees instead of Historical Records when searching for Minnie, & one of the people who had set up a tree used the surname Stonecipher. Well, I'd been looking for a Rachel StonePFEIFFER as Minnie's mother or grandmother, but as soon as I corrected the spelling, everything started to fall into place! I now have Minnie's parents & maternal grandparents, and, I think, all of her siblings (7). I am really jazzed about this. Turns out my memory isn't as terrible as I thought: I had most of the names correct, just a bit out of sequence ... which can make a HUGE difference as you know.
