Texas Birth and death are $11 and $9 respectively. Write to Bureau of Vital Statistics, Texas Dept. of Health, 1100 W. 49th Street, Austin, TX 78756. For other states' vital statistics addresses, check "The Handybook for Genealogists" or "Redbook." The books with vital statistics contents also have these addresses. Remember the one put online in April was a beta test version? This is the real thing and also still continues to be difficult to access.
