    2. Bob: RootWeb is the oldest and largest genealogy site on the internet. They host our mailing list along with 9,900 other mailing list. At this time they do not have an archive for mailing lists, but they do have archives for other databases. Visit RootWeb and learn more about their databases at: http://www.rootsweb.com/ Make sure you go to the USGenWeb area for the archives, it is great, and visit the GenConnect Boards for you surnames! Also, if you subscribe in list mode...that would mean you would receive every mail singularly, at the time of delivery. Digest mode...clumps them all together (you would not receive until several were posted, and at this time the list is not as active as I would like to see it, so you may not see them for several days). If you are on a very active list...digest is the way to go...to help hold down getting so mail emails. Hope this helps...I am also cc'ing the list, in case others have questions about Digest vs List!
