After my g grandfather's wife, Laura Graves, died in Blue Ridge in 1888, leaving him with three little girls, he somehow learned of Margaret Ann Smith in Clinton Co. KY (unmarried at 27). He courted her by mail and in 1891, traveled to Clinton Co. for their marriage in Albany and then brought her back home to Blue Ridge. http://www.blueridgetexas.com/History.htm Under Moyers - toward the bottom of the page is a picture of "Maggie" from Clinton Co. with her 4 daughters and 1 son born in Blue Ridge. I had always figured the matchmaker was a Clinton Co. Smith relative in Blue Ridge, but I could not connect any early Blue Ridge Smiths back to Clinton Co. I had no idea there was a whole wagon train from Clinton Co.!! Did any of the Clinton Co. folks that you mentioned live in the Blue Ridge area?
