Hi Anna, Wow!! Your Clinton Co. KY info was very interesting. For years, I've tried to figure out a Blue Ridge/Collin Co. connection back to Clinton Co. KY. After my g grandfather's wife, Laura Graves, died in Blue Ridge in 1888, leaving him with three little girls, he somehow learned of Margaret Ann Smith in Clinton Co. KY (unmarried at 27). He courted her by mail and in 1891, traveled to Clinton Co. for their marriage in Albany and then brought her back home to Blue Ridge. http://www.blueridgetexas.com/History.htm Under Moyers - toward the bottom of the page is a picture of "Maggie" from Clinton Co. with her 4 daughters and 1 son born in Blue Ridge. I had always figured the matchmaker was a Clinton Co. Smith relative in Blue Ridge, but I could not connect any early Blue Ridge Smiths back to Clinton Co. I had no idea there was a whole wagon train from Clinton Co.!! Did any of the Clinton Co. folks that you mentioned live in the Blue Ridge area? Gale, Now it is my turn to say "Wow!" The DAVIS Reunion picture on the Blue Ridge website you sent hit it on the mark. I first heard of Blue Ridge yesterday when I looked for information on Constant Elisha Watson DAVIS (born 18 Dec 1836 KY) who migrated in the late 1800s to Collin Co., Texas from Clinton Co., Kentucky. The contributor whose work I saw mentioned Blue Ridge, but I did not see it on the 1900 Collin Co., TN Census I viewed for this family and his married son, General S. DAVIS. Where in Collin Co., Texas is Blue Ridge? Also, have you ever heard of Enloe, Delta Co., Texas? 1900 Collin Co., Texas Census, Justice Precinct #2; SD 2; ED 7; Sheet 6-A; Stamped Page 167-A; June 7th; Line 21; Household and Visit #96-100: DAVIS, General S., head, white, male, born March {?} 1866, age 34, married 15 years, born in KY, both parents born in KY, farmer; Marion E., wife, white, female, born March 1868, age 32, married 15 years, 5 children born - 5 children still living, born in KY, both parents born in KY; Ermon, daughter, born April 1886, age 14, KY KY KY; Stanley H., son, born April 1888, age 12, KY KY KY; Loula A., daughter, born Oct. 1889, age 10, KY KY KY; Sophia, daughter, born Nov. 1893, age 6, born in Texas, both parents born in KY; Garland E., son, born March 1897, age 3, born in Texas, both parents born in KY (I have a darling picture of the last two children taken in Farmersville, TX and mailed to Henry STINSON in Clinton Co., KY.) - next door - 1900 Collin Co., Texas Census, Justice Precinct #2; SD 2; ED 7; Sheet 6-A; Stamped Page 167-A; June 7th; Line 28; Household and Visit #97-101: DAVIS, Cue{? - Bet this is supposed to be initials C.W.E. or C.E.W.}, head, white, male, born Dec. 1836, age 63, married 32 years, born in KY, both parents born in KY, farmer; Sophronia, wife, white, female, born Feb. 1839, age 61, married 32 years, 9 children born - 8 children still living, KY KY KY; Ada, daughter, March 1879, age 21, single, KY KY KY; Arthur C., son, July 1883, age 16, KY KY KY (NOTE: the full name of the head of the household was Constant Elisha Watson DAVIS or C.E.W.
