They purchased farmland in the area between Melissa and Weston. William Campbell was born Dec. 25, 1809 and died Nov. 28, 1978. He was buried in the Chambersville Community Cemetery. The headstone is broken into but still remains at the site. A granddaughter, Jane Pearl Burkett b. Feb. 12, 1880, died about age three, is buried one or two spaces to the left of his buriel site. It is nnot known if his wife, Mary is buried there or not. William's sons, Monroe, Thomas and Marshal (a twin), may have come to Texas when he did. One of his daughter, Ollie (twin to Marshal) married Joseph Burkett Dec 25, 1873 in Collin County. If anyone has information regarding this family, please respond. >
