I was under the impression that you had to be next of kin to obtain them....am I wrong? Anyway I am grandson to Adams family and need two certs. What is your charge and address? Also let me know about the procedure under Texas law. Thanks John Harper Calsouth1@aol.com Aloha, John, I called the County Clerk's Office and got the following information. Uncertified death certificates can be obtained for anyone who has been dead over 25 years. For anyone who has not been dead 25 years or whose age is less than 50 years, a Certified Death Certificate is required. Forms are available (being sent to me for distribution also). You can request from: Helen Starnes, County Clerk 210 S. McDonald # 124 McKinney, TX 75069 Forms must be completed (do not have to be notarized) and return with check. Charge is confirmed at $9.00 for first copy of death certificate (additional copies of same death certificate are $3.00 earch.) --------------03749E75A1554939859A56F5 Content-Type: text/x-vcard; charset=us-ascii; name="mchamp.vcf" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Description: Card for Minnie Pitts Champ Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="mchamp.vcf" begin:vcard n:Champ;Minnie Pitts x-mozilla-html:FALSE org:Collin County Book Co. adr:;;;;;; version:2.1 email;internet:mchamp@airmail.net title:http://ccvm.com/ccbc/home.html x-mozilla-cpt:;-21184 fn:Minnie Pitts Champ end:vcard --------------03749E75A1554939859A56F5--
