Mitzi K. Perkins, Thank you for your response. I would like to be able to contact the relatives of Dr. Mantooth as I had a number of Uncles in that area so I am more than likely related. It would be interesting to find out. I know there are about 10 Mantooths buried in Altoga,TX out side of my g grandfather and G Grandmother so I am certain that have offspring in that area. Maybe I can find some data on them. The Mantooth name I do not believe is Seminole, but instead is Cherokee and Creek. I am Cherokee in more or less a direct line from Cherokee Tom Mantooth which most all Mantooths go back to. I had heard the claim of the Seminole because of the actor Randy Mantooth who was said to be Seminole. I did a search on his back ground and could find no connection to the Seminole. If by chance you have Seminole data that is not in reference to Randy Mantooth I would very much appreciate that information. I may fill in some holes in my research. I have also been told that there is the Mantooth name in the Commence Indian tribe but again I can find nothing to support that.
