Looking for information on some of my Cates ancestors associated with Collin County, Texas around 1900 who apparently lived about 12 miles from McKinney. They moved there from near Graham in Young County about that time. The community names of Valdesta and Blue Ridge come to mind. The individuals were: G. Hamilton Ash and his wife, Margaret (Margery) Cates-Ash; John Cates; Joel Cates; Mary Elizabeth Kelly.
