Tommie, What area are you in? Is there a large library near you? Is there a Latter Day Saints Family History Center near you where you could order censuses? If there is either of these, I think I'd try to research these before I made a trip to an area on a limited time basis. Maybe your daughter has access to these records. How long have you been doing genealogy research? If not long, you might get a book from the library on how to do genealogy research so that you know where to start and what records you need to look at when you get there.
