Collin County Marriage Records begin in 1846 when it became a county. The indexes and records are in the Harrington Library and the Genealogy Friends will be happy to look these up for you for a small donation of $5. Birth and death indexes began in 1903 and are on film at the library from that time and go until about 1976. Film indexes stops that year. Records and indexes after that time are at the Dept. of Health in Austin. Vital Statistics began in Texas loosely about 1900 but are not consistent until about 1910. The Genealogy Friends of Plano Libraries, Inc., will do an index search for a nominal donation fee of about $5. They use this money to buy more microfilm for the library. They are 501 c 3 tax exempt. They will be happy to do a search of any available indexes, but do not take the responsibility of compiled genealogies. Good luck.
