However, quite frequently you see listings prior to that time. The McKinney Memorial Public Library has an ongoing project of abstracting obits from the "early" McKinney newspapers. Their first volume, published in 1988, was for the years 1884-1899; the last volume published was for the 1930s. Volunteers are now working in the 1940s. So, there are other sources for death information and family information I would be happy to help you, should you desire.
