October 17, 1929 Celina, Collin County, Texas Newspaper Article: Mrs. Martha Naomi Greer, wife of the late J. R. Greer, died at 10:30 a. m. Thursday, October 17, 1929 at her home in Celina, Texas following an illness since September 22. She was born in April of 1861 and was before her marriage Miss Martha Naomi Shawver. Funeral services were to be held this (Friday) afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Methodist Church in Celina, Texas conducted by pastor, Rev. Wesley V. Hite. Interment followed in Cottage Hill Cemetery. The deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. T. P. Kelley of Celina, Texas and Miss Naomi Greer, on of the teachers in the Celina public schools. The husband of the deceased passed away about four years ago. He is buried in Davis, Oklahoma (McKinney Daily Courier Gazette, McKinney, Texas, October 18, 1929, p. 1) I looked in several other Collin County, Texas books but this is all that I found.
