Hi To All I am searching for the perverbial needle in a haystack and with very little infromation. Well, if I had that, I wouldn't be searching so hard. My wife's gt-grandparents and family moved from, I believe, Claiborne County, TN to Collin County, TX about 1912. It was either in or close to McKinley. Henry and Josephine and their children, both single and married, made the move. Grover Harrison Williams, believed to be the oldest son, and wife and young son made the move with Grover's parents. Grover had a son born in in July 1912 in Claiborne County, TN. All of this information comes from a couple of the surviving children. Grover and wife, Sarah Ellen (Ball) Williams had 6 children born in McKinley, Collin County, TX. Then Sarah Ellen took sick and the Doctor told Grover that she was not likely to live. In fact, since Sarah wanted to move back to TN or Lee County, VA. she might not live to complete the trip. But Graver was determined to provide his wife ith her dying wish. So sometime after 1924 when the last baby was born in Texas he loaded his wagon and family and drove all the way back to Lee County, VA (This is juast a couple of miles from Claiborne County, in fact less than 10 miles) where her people lived. She did survive the trip and, in fact, lived to birth 5 more children. Some of the children can remember the wagon trip but little more. At the time they knew little more than they were on a trip. I have found in the Bell County, KY marriage records a marriage of a Whilte Williams, this was the name of one of Grover's brothers. But I can not, at this time, conclude that he was the son of Henry and Josephine. The age is right but I have nothing else except that White was reported to have come back for awhile and then went back to Texas. (That is a big place). I am going to include 3 geberations of Henry's family for your information and in hopes that some of the children or grandchildren might reconise the names and we can make contact. I have a pretty fair record of Grover and Sarah Ellens family but little of his siblings.
