If the murder happened in 1918, it should have been in the newspaper. The McKinney library has newspapers on microfilm for that year. The Old Post Office Museum also has old newspapers. Maybe someone who volunteers at the museum would know that story. Mrs. Helen Hall has written many articles about early McKinney, and she is a volunteer at the Old Post Office Museum. Bill Haines and Elizabeth Pink are also volunteers who know a lot about McKinney's history. The North Collin County Genealogical Society has a page on the Net. Maybe someone there could help you.
