    3. In the 1900 census in Collin county I found John Birdwell 62, Lucicia? Birdwell, wife, 46, daughter Mary A Brashears 26, married 5 years; Edna Brashears, granddaughter, 3. Next door to them are John and Martela Penny and his brother in law Nathan and mother in law Fannie Brashears. They are out by Blue Ridge, near the Hunt border line. As it happens our society is copying the marriages records and I just printed Book 10 # 160. R. T. Brashears - May R. Tiley Birdwell 19 April 1896 by D. W. Grounds L. She was born 1871 and died 1952. Her father was Robert Farsey Hedgcoxe, born 12/8/1826 in Indiana, died 11/27/1898, buried in Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, Tx. Her mother was Julia Ann James, born 6/10/1844 in Glasgow, Barren Co., Ky and she died 4/13/1913 in Collin County, TX. Robert Farsey's father was Henry Oliver Hedgcoxe, born in England and fairly famous in Texas history for his involvement with the Peter's Colony, there is actually a "Hedgcoxe War" named after him. I have more information if you are interested. Email me at diedram@aol.com. Good luck! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
