Dear Aurora and Shirley, Sorry not have to responded before now. I have some of this family as part of my research on my Bales lines. It seems that Lela's brother Dan Edward married Lou Bales who is my great aunt. They were the children of Calvin Hutherson and Etta Mae Duncan. You can find this family in the 1870 cen of Collin, Calvin I think I found in the 1920 cen of Webster, La living with a Pace family. Sorry but I did not have the married name of Lela M. other than a surname of Strickland. I did know that she is buried in the Mt. Olive/Williams cem. with brother Dan and Alvin. Alvin married Eva Effie Pearl Snider. Eva was also related to me via the Bales family as her mother was a Bales. Not sure if this is the family you are seeking Shirley as some of your names are not the same. This is the family that Aurora found. I do not know where in Texas all of this family of Hutherson were born but I do know that Dan Edward was born in Denton county. Their were multi Strickland families in Collin county through the early years, some related and some not. Funny though that most were related after doing some research.
