Perhaps the Heritage Association of Frisco has some of those photos. Dr. Erwin Pink may have donated some of those. His wife Elisabeth Pink would know more. Contact me off list and I can tell you how to contact her. I found this in a Kentucky newspaper while researching something else and thought it might be of use to person who asked about McKinney connections ---even though she is by marriage. McKinney Maureen M. McKinney, 80, of Frisco, Texas, formerly of Lexington, wife of Dale W. McKinney, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003. Born in Gympie, Australia, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Phillip and Mabel Annie Mullaly Roberts. A member of the Versailles United Methodist Church, she retired after 25 years from General Electric and was a member of American Legion Post #8. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Marion G. Sherer, Concord, N.C., and Barry W. McKinney, Frisco, Texas; two brothers and four sisters, Clarice Dobson, Nikomis, Fla., Hetty Nutter, Columbus, Ohio, Madge Simpson, Mary Phyllis Roberts, Sydney Roberts and Darcy Roberts, all of Australia; five grandchildren, Darin McKinney, Brian McKinney, Cynthia Lynn Sloan, Marie McGrady and Donald Sherer; and 14 great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Broadway by the Rev. Coleman Howlett. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday.

I would love to get a copy of Pearl Cotten Drye's obituary. I am in the process of releasing 30 years of the Cotton family material to libraries when I came across your listing for her obituary. Pearl is married to a Drye but the Drye family was related to the Batsell/Batsel family who married into the Cotton (not with an e) from Virginia/Kentucky. So it all goes around and comes back around again. Thank you inadvance for your help. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
