    3. Larry, The reason you only found 48 households is because you only looked on page one. There are several pages for each census at the bottom of the pages is a link to the next page. 1. [TXCOLL-N-L] Research Help
    2. Can someone check the Collin Co. probate files for me? I am looking for a file on my grandmother, Minnie Lee Thompson Adams, b. Apr 26, 1885 in Collin or Grayson, d. Jan 20, 1913 in Bonham, Fannin Co. The Collin Chronicles publication contained a probate listing which included a Minnie Adams, Box #157, with the annotation "Lunacy." I am trying to determine whether the Minnie Adams in this probate listing is the same person as my grandmother. My Minnie had family in Collin Co., so it is possible the probate was done there, rather than in Fannin where she died. Also, she was sick for a few years before her death with a disease that might have affected her mind, which could explain the "lunacy" annotation. Of course, the reference to lunacy could have been to a minor child totally unrelated to my Minnie. I gave the above info to the Collin Co. clerk's office, who replied they had no record of a Minnie Adams in their probate files. That doesn't square with the Collin Chronicles probate listing for Minnie Adams, Box #157. I've tried Fannin Co, also, and was told they could find nothing in their files either. If anyone can help me with this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, Jody Davis joadavis@mindspring.com

    3. Hi folks. My name is Denise Farrell. I don't really have much geneological research to do in Collin Co., but I thought that one day I might be able to help someone with practical knowledge. I moved to Plano 34 years ago as a child, grew up there, moved to Dallas as an adult, and now live in Murphy (just to the east of Plano). I also did real estate title searches involving Collin Co. property for many years, until my son was born 3 years ago. Growing up, my family explored most of the southern and eastern halves of the county. My father was pastor of several small, rural Baptist churches in the NE part of the county. Anyway, that's why I joined your list.

    3. Hi -- well, I did make it to Texas then to Louisiana, and back to Farmersville, TX . We went too far north , then came back to town to funeral home, and got better directions to the cemetery, which was very easy to find. Miracle !!! Someone has been in and cleaned up a lot. It is possible to make your way through the entire cemetery -- wear old pants! and water proof boots! It was raining a little, but it was so quiet and nice. My grandmother doesn't have a marker, but thanks to you all who gave me info, I did find the southwestern corner where she is buried, and that satisfied me. The grave markers that are standing seem to be before 1900, a nd a lot of them are broken or fallen over. The cemetery is on both sides of the road, and contrary to info someone gave me about there being two cemeteries there, Twin & Honaker, the lady at the funeral home said it is all one cemetery. She said something else that worries me a little -- hope I went to the right cemetery! She said there is another Honaker Cemetery southwest of town somewhere. Anyone know about this one? Please don't tell me if I went to the wrong cemetery. Thanks again to everyone who helped me -- I thought you might be interested to know that I at least found my great grandmother Martha Ann Williams Bryant's little corner of the world.
