    3. The booklet gives the history of the Highland community and does not have a plat of the cemetery. It is good from a historical standpoint, but will not show where your relatives are buried. 3. A. L. Phillips and wife Nannie Phillips are listed on 1880 Collin County Census. Does anyone know anything about them? They are my great-grandparents. I have been able to find very little on them. By 1900 they had moved to Red River County. I can find nothing before 1880. Anyone?? I would appreciate help. Thanks Thanks

Just before it rejoings SH 78, take CR 576 west. It will turn north after about 1/4 mile. The cemetery will be on the left about 1 mile. Part of the road is white rock. The cemetery may be neglected. 3. I am posting this to all - assuming this is general information of value to many: 1)There are death records since 1903 of anyone with a death certificate in Collin county. 2)There are several reels of microfilm (one location is at the Harrington Library in Plano) which index the deaths in the state of Texas and include date, county and certificate number. 3) Minnie Pitts has a 2 volume book information to follow which lists the cemeteries and any headstones found in 1972 when the book was done, . > The referenced book, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, CEMETERY INSCRIPTIONS, was written by my mother, Alice Ellison Pitts. 3. For what it's worth, there is a Martha E. Berry 3-16-1836 to 8-15-1912 buried at Allen Cemetery, Allen, TX. Allen is just a few miles from Princeton. Your Jonathan J. and Martha are buried in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville about eight miles east of Princeton. The name is spelled Daniel. This information comes from the two vol set of cemetery inscriptions by Alice Pitts, Wanda O'Roark, and Doris Posey, published in 1975. The set is still available and is recommended for nay one searching Collin Co. Cemeteries. You can contact Minnie Pitts Champ on the TXCOLL rootsweb site.
