There was a Wallis Chapel community north of present-day New Hope. Probably your people, since they are buried in Princeton. Have you gotten any information on them? Greetings, I just received some obituary & burial record information on the Balch family in Celina whom I think may be the one's I'm looking for. Murphy G. Balch b. 23 Oct 1897 Celina d. 9 Nov 1963 at his home NE of Celina Buried Cottage Hill Cemetery. He was married to Mary Lena Wester, she later married a Greenwood. They had one son, Bob W. Balch who married 1955 in Sherman, Texas Bettye S. Spradlin. Murphy's parents were Henry G. Balch & Sally Hendricks. Other children of these parents were Lake Balch b. 25 Dec 1899 d. 25 Sept 1984 Tioga, Grayson Co. Texas; & 4 daughters - Mrs. S. M. Berry of Sherman; Mrs. Ella Miles of Texarkana, Texas; Mrs. Ruby Bodobsky of Tioga; Mrs. Joe Gentry of Van Alstyne, Texas. I suspect that this Henry G. Balch may be my 2nd great grandfather, thinking his name to be Harvey Girdine Balch b. abt 1843. However, his name could have been Henry because the one I'm looking for father's name was "Henry Balch" and could be erroneously recorded in census records. If anyone has information on this family please contact me. I also would like to know if anyone has access to the 1900 & 1910 census for Collin Co. that could perhaps look up this Henry G. & Sally (Hendricks) Balch for me. Thank you all for your great help. Warmest regards, Carolyn Whitaker

Sarah Childress was still listed on the 1860, Jackson Co., Ala. with her parents Joel and Nancy Childress. That is the last I have on her. Caldonia was listed in 1870 in Franklin Co., Ark. living in the household of brother Joseph, Joseph was not married then, other sisters living there also were Laura Childress Burgess, husband died during the war, also Nancy, and Virginia. Nancy married Wesley Evans Jones, Virginia married John D. Scott. Joseph married Nancy J. Glenn in Collin Co., 1875.On the 1880 Collin Co., Texas census, Nancy and family were living near, also a sister Mary who had married James P. Shook. Nancy died in Hopkins Co., Texas in 1826. Virginia died in Delta Co., Texas 1914. Joseph died in Collin Co., Texas 1927. Bonnie Childress LeBlanc
