    2. Aurora, I guess my inquiry is too late for this issue, but could you include it in the next one? This is what I have: Henry Combs m. Parrale Fogg (both born in Missouri) They were living in Collin Co. when their (only known) child, John Henry, was born, on Mar. 21, 1870. I am trying to find if John Henry had other siblings and DOBs and DODs for them, Henry and Parrale. (John Henry died in 1949, in Lamesa, Dawson Co., TX; & married Emma Francis Stanley, 1866-1949). Thank you, Kim Combs Elkins Denver, CO

Has anyone ever done this to this particular library, and if so, how much is acceptable as a donation? I'm hoping to find an obit for Sep 1862. Is this even possible? Teresa

    3. Robert Young(?) RUSSELL was born Dec. 1823 in SC (according to the IGI), married Martha Mitchell in Griffin, GA in 1851. They lived there a few years. They lived in Claiborne Parish, LA from 1859 into the 1860s, thence to Collin Co., Cooke Co., and Wise Co., all in TX. The Wise Co. 1880 census lists him as a retired physician and paralytic. He died in 1884. I very much want to get behind him (his parents, siblings, education, where in SC?) I would also love to make contact with other descendants. Nine children known to have survived to adulthood: Mary Elizabeth, William Shatteen, Thomas F, James PC, Martha Ella or Ellen, Muskogee Amogene, Judith Lilla, John Edgar, and Ida Bell.

Go check out the boards by going to: http://www.geocities.com/dmaddox1/gc_collin.html One quick note...Make sure to post queries only on the Query board. The other boards such as Bible, Obits, & Deeds...are for just that. Copies of records would be posted on those boards (no queries, please). Thanks, ListMom Denise

    3. I did not get to hear the second installment on the Lee-Peacock Feud, but I understand it was more of the same. Since a Peacock is hiring historians to write the history of the feud in order to clear his ancestor's name, it is bound to be slanted. No one will believe it except for another Peacock. Joy

    3. I was happy to see the story of the Lee-Peacock feud on WFAA channel 8, but I also recognized that is was very much a Peacock slant, as it would be, Larry Peacock has been working several years to tell his side of the story. I am like Joy in that I have never read anywhere about Peacock's helping former slaves or blacks escape the Lee's & others abuse. That was all very new to me, and even confusing?!?! The most factual account of the Feud (to me) was written by T.U. Taylor a professor at the University of Texas in the early 1900's + there are numerous newspaper accounts of the time. I don't recall in any of these the new Peacock slant on the Feud. 3. Larry Peacock (a descendant) has emailed me informing me that there is going to be a story on the Lee-Peacock Feud on WFAA - Channel 8 on 1/6 (part 1) and 1/7 (part 2) at 10PM. The Lee-Peacock feud took place in "Four Corners" (Collin, Fannin, Hunt, Grayson Counties) during the latter 1800's. Many Boren's were involved. I'll tell ya what's funny about the Lee-Peacock feud, is that there are still many people interested and many different stories...still hangin' around. I love family history, don't you? I have a website regarding the feud at: http://www.geocities.com/dmaddox1/feud.html Also there is more about the feud on the Fannin County Page (by Susan Hawkins) at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txfannin/feud.html Denise Maddox
