    3. This is just to let you know the RootsWeb mailing lists are functioning again. You may now post any questions you may have been sitting on while they were not. The Archives are being re-populated, but due to their size, it is going to take some time to complete. This post should initiate that process. For detailed information on working with the new list software, see <http://home.rootsweb.ancestry.com/listindexes/listsHelp>

Yes, that is their kids, which I have covered. I just cannot find the parents death. Even though Georgia states married in 1920, C. J. is not listed. The family moved to Wilbarger Co in 1918. I have searched Pilot Grove creek several times down to Lake Lavon and can find no evidence of a small lake, oxbow in the creek or anything similar. I even wonder if it was a man made lake, natural occurring or perhaps a dam for a sawmill. The area is now and was very wooded in the old days. Even locals who went there cannot tell me its precise location. As you suggest I suspect it is under the upper reaches of Lake Lavon now. The place is very significant and needs an historical marker. Henry Boren led the Collin Co. Brush Men to the place in 1863 and attempted to negotiate with the Confederate government. Some of Quantrell's men infiltrated the Battalion and were also at the campsite and reported to Gen. Smith in Shreveport on the plans of the dissenters. One indicates it was near Farmersville http://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth191636/m1/3/zoom/?q="oxford lake" about 5 miles north west. http://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth252283/m1/3/zoom/?q="oxford lake" and it was sold by the city fathers.
