I'm looking for the burial place of my grandfather Thomas (Tom) Arthur. I was told by his son, Bassett Arthur in Menard that he died in Brady,Coleman Co, TX. But that he didn't know the date of death or where he was buried. Thomas was b. 1808 in Oglethorpe Co., GA. He married Hattie Butler and they moved to TX ca 1900. About this time they divorced. He left for West Texas. There he married Missouri Bassett. They had a son, Bassett Arthur b. 1910. Thomas supposedly died in 1913, in Brady, TX. I have contacted the gov office's but they can't find a death record for him. Has anyone seen his grave or know anything about him or his family, in Brady or Menard? Thank you, any help appreciated.
