I would like to know if anyone has visited the courthouse in Linden and what the proceudres are to visit and search through old records. I know the documents are old and probably not in any alphabetical setting, rather in a books by years. I'm particularly looking for "Bills of Sale" - before and after 1860. That seems like a good place to start or even earlier. I have a cousin who can go to the Linden courthouse, and would like to prepare him for the visit with what you can and cannot do; how far along in his search will depend upon the circumstances of search.
