From what I gather, your father-in-law is the great-grandson of Bennett W. Johnson. Bennett W. Johnson is the brother of my great-grandmother, Sarah Ann Johnson b. 1825 Marion Co., GA d. before 1864..most likely in Bullock Co., AL. The parents of Bennett and Sarah are Harris and Mary (Polly) Simmons Johnson. I have been searching for the parents of Harris and Mary for a long time.....perhaps you have some clues??
