Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JhB.2ACE/1153 Message Board Post: Found this clipping in the Cass County, Texas SUN news paper, dated Oct. 19, 1926 " In the State of Texas, Cass County, the organizing of a Sabbath Schooll at Denter Chapel Meeting House commencing Jan. 11, 1852 under the management of the following authorities to wit : 1. James L. Hewitt, President 2. J. M. Wood, Secretary 3. Charles Graham, Treasurer 4. B. A. Cameron, Male Bible Class teacher 5. John H. Graham, New Testament Male teacher 6. Thomas Camerson, Spelling Male Class teacher 7. Jane Graham, Female Bible Class teacher 8. Nancy Graham, New Testament Class teacher The school commenced and was opened by singing and prayer by James L. Hewitt, president of the said Institution. " Charles Graham is my g, g, g, g, grandfather who lived on his farm, located about 5 miles north east of Linden. The Graham Graveyard ( now renamed the Center Grove Cemetery ) which is located on this farm. There is a church across the road from this cemetery and I was told that there was a church / meeting house that was located down the road from the Graham Graveyard. my question is, could this Denter Chapel Meeting House be one in the same ?? The information for this news paper clipping came from a record book found among J. P. Wood's papers. From the list of names above Charles Graham is my g, g, g, g. grandfather, Jane Graham ( Janett " Jane " ( Rayburn ), Graham, married to Charles Graham. John H. Graham is there son and Nancy Graham ( Nancy ( Hill ), Story, Graham, second wife of Robert Crawford " R. C. " Graham, who is a brother to Charles Graham. Janett " Jane " ( Rayburn ), Graham died in 1861 and Charles Graham died in 1875 and both are buried in the graham Graveyard, John H. Graham died in 1895 and is also buried in the Graham Graveyard and Nancy ( Hill ), Story, Graham died in 1879. Any information would be a big help
