Hello; My name is John Self and I am the youngest son of Johnny and Sue Self from Douglassville. My parents live in an old one-story white frame house on CR2116 near Jackson Creek. I am interested in finding out exactly how old the house is and which family owned it before my mine. Also, where would I find a detailed map of Cass County showing how the area appeared from the 1850's-1870's? Any history on Douglassville would be greatly appreciated, too. I once read somewhere that the local men formed a troop of cavalry here during the Civil War, but I cannot prove this is true. Thanks for your time John Self
