You go towards Atlanta, cross Sulpher River and go east two or three miles, staying close to the river. There is a place called Old Soldiers Campgrounds. It has a bricked spring that used to have really clear, cold water. It has been over thirty years since I've been there. Since Mr. Deaton died in the 70s the road may have grown up. If you already have this please excuse me and if not I hope it helps. Mary >> Mary, no I do not have any information on this spot, but sure would like to. My husband and I live 3 miles north of the river bridge on highway 59. Going south from our home, cross the bridge, he says there is a road that turns back to the left on the Cass County side of the river, behind a small rest area. This road is almost parallel with the river. The road goes two or three miles along the river (that is how far he went before turning around, a trail may go further, but the road ended at the river.), but where do we look for this spring? Does that seem like the right road to you? Vicki
