I am not sure if this is a relation as I am not researching Alsobrooks, however, there were a fairly large number of residents of Chambers Co. Alambama that migrated to East Texas, specifically Red River and Cass Co. just prior to and just after the Civil War, Among migrants are Joseph Harrison Alsobrook, and others. My interest is because of related marriage in my maternal line to Alsobrook. Among other family names that migrated about the same time from Chambers Co. Alabama are Greer, Sims, Harris, Robberson, Megginson, Almand, Moore, There seems to be a disproportionate number of families from this area of Alabama, Chambers Co, Tallapoosa Co. and Troup Co. GA than any other location You can find information about the Alsobrook family in the Chambers county Heritage book Vol. 9, An article about this group of Alsobrooks was submitted by Kathleen Alsobrook from Austin TX. Alsobrooks are also pictured in this addition at the Megginson Cemetery.
