Guess I'll wait for Ancestry.com to catch up. I know Cass County is a large county with many possibilities. I can hardly wait. Sometimes, as I've seen on other county registrations cards -- the information asked for was a little different -- a few had in reference to a question that asked "Who is your nearest relative? " Some would put down a name, whether it is a wife or a mother, etc., was not determined unless additional info was entered. I recognized some of the names, others I will have to dig deeper to find out what relationship they are. On "race:, the clerk was asked or the person was asked to cross out all that do not apply, when it would have been simpler to circle the race of the person.
