I plan to come to Cass Co. to look soon, but I came upon this site and thought some one may be close to the cemetery and could let me know for sure. There are about 11 Lovelaces buried there and I have found one site that shows an Arthur M. there and another site that doesn't. Because of his I am afraid it could have been a mistake and he isn't there. > It is so important to me because he had left his family when my mother was only a teenager and I have never seen him. I only recently received a picture to see what he looks like. I am hoping to at least find his grave so I can take my mother to see . She is going to be 81 next month. I know very little about him and don't even know dates. I am guessing he would have been born early 1890's. We have no idea when he died. I am guessing that he must have left the family about the year of 1936-1937 and even his brothers and sisters did not see him again. If any one can help me I would greatly appreciate it. > some good news is that in searching for him we have found some children of his sisters and will meet them soon. www.egosurf.com is excellent for looking for people (or places) when you have NO IDEA how to find them. I just did it for Grassville - it found one in CA, Ark, New York, Australia, and New Brunswick - but no TX. However, you can tell it to keep looking and it will try for a week to find things. Check out the home page - their instructions are self-explanatory.
Dear friends, does anyone know how I could locate a town called "Grassville," which was somewhere in Texas in 1862? It is not on any database that I can find, and I expect it has not been in existence for many, many years. Where could I go to look for this place? I need your help. Thank you. Their children were born in or around Cass County (Avinger or Linden). Thank you for your reply. I will try to find out something about the cemetery. Karen
