Allen listed in the 1860 Cass co. census (age 28 born in GA) was named Joshua C. Allen? I have not found other records for this Allen. William Allen living next dwelling (age 33 born in GA) was very well off. He had $3,000 of real estate and $13,625 of personal property. I am trying to connect them to a Churchill or Churchwill Allen who died in Chambers Co. AL in 1857. William married Mary Agnes Bradley in 1851 in Tallapoosa Co. AL and moved to TX in 1857. Church had a sons William, Beverly and Joshua C. Allen. In 1850 a William Allen was living with Beverly Allen in Tallapoosa co.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JhB.2ACE/1028.3 Message Board Post: I was told today the Floyd Hill homecoming is not held at the cemetery now. They will be meeting at the Red Hill Community Center on HWY. 8. Red Hill is located at the crossroads of FM 995 & HWY 8. Then afterward any body that wants can go and visit the cemetery. The reason for this is so many of the people that attend are getting on up in age and the temperture sometimes causes them problems. Hope this will not deter your coming. Josephine Hall
