    3. The Brownsville Herald - Online EditionObituaries, June 14, 2006 ROGER DUANE HARMAN Roger Harman, 52, quietly passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006, in Houston surrounded by family and friends. His life was dedicated to others through his profession as a surgeon, his passion as an ordained minister, his community spirit as a Scout leader, his patriotism as an officer in the Air Force Reserve, his devotion to his family. His heart has stopped, but he lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. Memorial services are scheduled at 2 p.m. on June 14, 2006, at Ridglea Methodist Church, 6038 Locke Ave. in Fort Worth. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Harman; children Phillip Harman, David Glenn, Veronica Bates, Angela Azzono, Melissa Su-arez, Baele Harman, Tamson Harman and Alexis Harman; parents Duane and Louise Harman; brothers Garry, Kevin and Brian Harman; grandchildren Noah and Mackenzie Bates, Ashton Suarez and Zeike Azzono; niece Jenna Adams; nephew Nicholas Har-man; grandniece Jacinda Adams; numerous cousins; other relatives and friends. Almazan, 80, of Brownsville entered into eternal rest at Brownsville Surgical Hospital on Monday, June 12, 2006. She was born in El Carmen, Texas, on July 16, 1925. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Almazan was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Angel Almazan Sr.; three sons, Jose Angel Almazan Jr., Noe Almazan and Marcelino Almazan; as well as several brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Isidro (Flora) Almazan of Sherman, Texas, Maria (Aurelio) Vasquez of Brownsville, Lali Garza of Houston, Guadalupe (Janie) Almazan, Pilo (Delma) Almazan, Juan (Mercedes) Almazan and Virginia (Manuel) Sando-val, all of Brownsville; 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Amparo Vasquez, of Brownsville and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, June 14, 2006, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with recitation of the holy rosary at 7:30 p.m. in the Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will fol-low at El Carmen Cemetery. Honored to serve as her pallbearers are Abel Garza III, Heriberto Guerra, Manuel Sandoval, Modesto Vasquez, Aurelio Vasquez Jr. and Jesus Angel Almazan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jose Angel Galvan and Manuel Sandoval. Arrangements have been entrusted to Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd., (956) 546-7111. MRS. ROSA A. TREVIÑO Mrs. Rosa A. Treviño was born August 30, 1918, in Mexico City, Mexico, and moved to Brownsville, Texas, at the age of 5. She was a member of Saint Mary, Mother of the Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernesto J. Treviño, and her mother, Piedad Araiza. She is survived by her brother, Joe L. Araiza of New Windsor, New York; and a sister, Vicky Araiza of Brownsville, Texas; her son, Ernie Treviño (Mary) of Laredo and their children, Kathy James (Robert), Jeff Treviño, Karen Treviño, Elizabeth Treviño, and grandson, Sebastian Arturo Guillen. She is also survived by three daughters, Rosa Linda Kopecky (Joe) of San Antonio, Texas, their children, Jamie Sonnen, Cecilia Lincoln, Mark Sonnen, Michael Sonnen and Jon Sonnen, their grandchildren, Cheyenne Sonnen, Nathan Sonnen and Joseph Ryan Treviño; Diane A. Gonzales (Lupe) of Rockwall, Texas, their children, Richard Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales, Joshua Gonzales and Mandy Gonzales, their grandchild, Joshua Gonzales II; and Maria C. Delgado of Brownsville, Texas. Mrs. Trevino was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for five years. She was very dedicated to the organization. In lieu of flowers, donations can be mailed to the South Texas Chapter/American Red Cross, P.O. Box 2202, Harlingen, TX 78551. Visitation will be today, Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at 5 p.m. with recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m., in the Darling-Mouser Fu-neral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Saint Mary, Mother of the Church, 1914 Barnard, with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd., (956) 546-7111. BUD THEODORE OPELT SR. Bud Theodore Opelt Sr. of Duluth, Minn., died Monday, June 12, 2006. He was born in Estherville, Iowa, July 18, 1928, to Theodore Opelt and Elva (Elkin) Opelt. When he was 10 years old, the family moved to Brownsville, Texas. Bud graduated from St. Joseph's Academy. He joined the Air Force and served four years. He lived in California for four years and moved to Duluth, Minn., in 1967. He worked in the nail room at U.S. Steel and at National Iron in Duluth. He was a loving husband and father, who did his best to take care of his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; his mother and father-in-law, Frank and Mable DeBot. He is survived by the love of his life, Rilla Anne; and his children, Michael Opelt of Pasadena, Texas, Melanie (Michael) Mainer of Bay Town, Texas, Lex (Julie) Stolis Jr. of Eagan Minn., Roxy Stolis and Pauline Stolis Sailor of Duluth, Minn., Rilla Marie (Brian) Johnson of Minot N.D., Buddy Jr. of Appleton, Minn., and Theanne (Howard) Long of San Antonio Texas; one brother, Jerome Opelt of Branson, Mo.; grandchildren Michael and Matt Mainer, Alex III and Elizabeth Stolis, Matthew and Allie McDevitt, Kurtis Olson, Nikki Tormondson, Kyle Sailor, Tyler and Samantha Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and his many friends in Gary-New Du-luth, Senior Friend and friends at The Congress Bar. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 14, 2006, with Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in St. James Church, with military honors accorded by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard to follow. PAULINE HAUSENFLUCK Pauline Hausenfluck, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at Harlingen Medical Center. Mrs. Hausenfluck is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Hausenfluck. She is survived by her son, Michael Hausenfluck (Norita); daughters Polly Ann Mobley (Ernest), Susie Tower and Gayle Hausen-fluck (Richard); 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. Graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Roselawn Memorial Garden.
