JOSE ANGEL BARRON, 93, passed away Monday, June 5, 2006, at his residence. There will be no local services. Funeral services will be held at Funerarias Lozano in Matamoros. INFANT ADAM TROY CANTU Infant Adam Troy Cantu, 1 year old, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2006, at his residence in Brownsville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Maria De La Cruz Pompa Zambrano. Adam is survived by his loving family; his parents, Ruben Martinez and Maria Irene Zambrano; maternal grandparents, Augustin Zambrano and Mary P. Cantu; paternal grandparents, Inocencio Martinez and Sandra Martinez; and eight brothers and sisters, Michael Anthony Calvillo, Ashley Monique Calvillo, Jacklin Ieve Irene Cantu, Destiny May Cantu, April Faith Cantu, November Hope Cantu, Fernando Ruben Zambrano and Eve Cruz Cantu all of Brownsville, Texas. Visitations were Monday, June 5, 2006, at Guerra Funeral Home "Chapel of the Holy Family." Visitation will resume from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. today Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at Guerra "Chapel of the Holy Family." Chapel funeral service will be Wednesday, June 7, 2006, with a time and place of interment pending. Pallbearers will be Juan Zambrano, Augustin Zambrano Jr, Jose Zambrano and Andres Rodriguez. Mr. Dario Olivarez Sr. passed away Monday, June 5, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Olivarez was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on April 17, 1934. He had lived in the U.S. for 52 years and had been a Brownsville resident 38 of those years. Mr. Olivarez had been in the shrimp business for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reynaldo T. Olivarez and Catarina E. Olivarez and one brother, Ramon Olivarez. Mr. Olivarez is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Beatriz R. Olivarez; three sons, Esteban, Mario and Dario Olivarez; four grandsons, Esteban, Jr., Enrique, Ernesto and Dario III Olivarez; one granddaughter, Elvira Olivarez; one great-granddaughter, Maresah Yolanis Olivarez; daughter-in-law, Emelinda Olivarez; two brothers, Miguel Olivarez and Jose Angel Olivarez; five sisters, Maria Reyna O. Gonzalez, Aurora O. Garcia, Amelia O. Tuttle, Gricelda O. Hernandez and Irene O. Castillo; one half sister, Petra O. Garcia and other relatives. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. MANUELA "MELA" ROSAS Manuela "Mela" Rosas, 58, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006, in Brownsville, Texas. She was a Brownsville native, lifelong resident, and attended Holy Family Catholic Church. Her father, Manuel Rosas preceded her in death. Manuela is survived by her mother, Fidela E. Rosas; two sisters, Pilar (Gerardo, Jr.) Saldivar and Hermelinda (Ramon) Mendez; two nephews, Manuel G. Saldivar and Rene Saldivar; and three nieces, Debra Hare, Vanessa Mendez and Michelle Mendez. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Committal services will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
