SALVADOR GONZALEZ Salvador Gonzalez, 66, entered into eternal rest with the Lord Monday, June 12, 2006, at Hospice of Palm Beach County in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was preceded in death by one son, Jose Gonzalez, and his mother, Angelita Pacheco Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his loving family wife, Viviana Orozco Gonzalez; father, Gabino Gonzalez; three sons, Jesus Gonzalez (Dorina), Salvador Gonzalez Jr., (Agnes) and Salvador Gonzalez Moyeda (Margarita); four daughters, Elizabeth G. Barrientos (Eloy), Marisol G. Ramirez (Oziel), Viviana G. De La Fuente (Andres) and Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez (Jorge). Also surviving him are five brothers, three sisters, 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Villarreal, 82, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest June 13, 2006, at Valley Regional Medical Center. Mr. Villarreal was a simple, honest, humble hard working man. He was born on November 1, 1923 in Brownsville to Juan and Tomasita G. Villarreal. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ruben Villarreal and his cousin, Heriberto Salinas. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Josefina P. Villarreal of Brownsville; his cousin, Pioquinto Salinas of Dallas, Texas; his nephew, Chris (Hilda) Hanson of California; his children, John (Maggie) Villarreal, Albert (Sylvia) Villarreal, Marta V. Altamirano, Lily (Fernando) Champion, all of Brownsville, Irma V. Morelos of California; his grandchildren, J.J., Jessica, and Raul E. Altamirano, Kristy (Casady) Altamirano-Pipes, Sandy (L.J.) Garcia, Johnny and Joanna Villarreal, Joseph A. and Amanda L. Champion, Danny and Nicole Morelos; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Emma, Hannah and Alexis Morelos, Sophia Josephine Garcia and Jackson Dean Pipes. LAURA NELL SMITH WALLACE Laura Nell Smith Wallace, passed away Monday, June 12, 2006, at the age of 83, in Brownsville where she had been in the loving care of her devoted daughter, Connie Wallace Fischer. Laura loved children and was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After her own children were raised, she returned to Columbus College, studying early childhood education, continuing to be a positive influence on the lives of children. She was an active member of the Torch Hill Road Church of Christ, in Columbus, Ga. Her favorite pastime was gardening in her extensive vegetable and flower gardens. Laura lived most of her life in Columbus but always considered herself a daughter of Scottsboro, Ala., where she was born in 1923. She was the youngest of the four daughters of Bessie and Joseph Smith. She was preceded in death by two of her sisters, Pauline Manning and Marie Wilkerson of Scottsboro, her third sister, Vivian Ardis, resides in Mobile, Ala. Laura was most proud of her three children, Beverly White of Denver, Connie Fischer of Brownsville and Keith Wallace, also of Denver. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Michael Fischer, Thomas Swain, Jamie White, Jonathan White and Stephanie Gonzalez, and her two great-granddaughters, Kelsey Young and Emma Gonzalez. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive Mrs. Wallace. A funeral service in celebration of Laura's life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2006, at the Scottsboro Funeral Home and will be officiated by Minister Winfred Russell. The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home. Raul was born on January 19, 1965 to Roy Logan Schooley and Guadalupe Garcia Schooley in Tecoman, Colima, Mexico. His father, Roy Logan Schooley and a brother, Richard Schooley, preceded Mr. Schooley in death. Raul is survived by his loving mother, Guadalupe G. Schooley; three sons, Raul N. Schooley Jr., Richard Schooley, Roy Schooley all of Brownsville; a daughter, Gale Nolan Schooley of San Antonio; one brother, Antonio Garcia of Brownsville; three sisters, Ana B. Sifuentes of Los Fresnos, Cristy M. Rodriguez of Dallas, and Janie Duarte of Brownsville; and one grandson, Sebastian Hernandez. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Delta Funeral Directors.
