DOMINGO GARCIA MARTINEZ, 73, passed away on April 25, 2006, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville. There will be no local services. WALTER KENNETH GRUMBACH, 74, of San Benito passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Valley Regiona Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are pending under Thomae-Garza Funeral Directors, 395 S. Sam Houston Blvd., San Benito, (956) 399-1331. PILAR LOPEZ Pilar Lopez, 90, went into eternal peace on April 25, 2006. She is preceded in death by her parents, Felicita and Benigno Torres; brothers and sisters Raul Torres, Beto Torres, Quirrion (Clara) Torres, Jose Torres, Nena Zuniga, Carlos Torres, Carmen Torres and Carla Salinas. She is survived by her children, Rosa (Agustin) Rincon, Benito (Rosario) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mary Lopez of Oklahoma, Tony (Olga) of Falfurrias, Texas, and Fela (Luis) Garcia of La Villa, Texas. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today April 27, 2006, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Pastor Ricardo Escobar will be officiating the service. Committal service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Dignity Memorial Provider PEDRO "PEWEE" GUZMAN JR. Pedro "Pewee" Guzman Jr., 65, passed into God's hands on Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Sunshine Haven in Olmito. He was born on July 10, 1940, in Brownsville, Texas, where he was also a lifelong resident. He was preceded in death by his mother, Refugia "Cuca" C. Guzman; his father, Pedro Guzman Sr.; and wife, Olga Oralia Guzman. He is survived by his two loving sons, Pedro Guzman III (Ana Garcia) and Jose Luis Guzman (Laura); one brother, Jose Guzman; three sisters, Juana Guzman, Maria Guzman and Candelaria G. Muñoz (Joaquin); two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Sunshine Haven, Odyssey Hospice, Caring For You Home Health, Department of Aging and Disability Service and all the doctors and nurses that helped care for Mr. Guzman. Visitations will be held today, Thursday, April 27, 2006, starting at 10 a.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Delta Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2006 at Delta Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Martinez, 91, the Lord called upon our beloved father and husband to be by His side in heaven on April 25, 2006. Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his father, Blas Martinez Lopez, and his mother, Venancia Rodriguez; two brothers, Graciano Rivera and Juan M. Rodriguez; two sisters, Librada Martinez and Maria Alvares. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maria Guadalupe Martinez; four sons, Cesar (Tomasa) Muruaga of Astatula, Fla., Juan Q. (Hilda) Martinez of Houston, Texas, Blas (Mari) Martinez of San Benito, Texas, and Guadalupe Q. Martinez of Brownsville, Texas; two daughters, Zulema (Mike) Moncada and Venancia (Andres) Alegria, both of Brownsville, Texas. Mr. Martinez is also survived by 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and numerous relatives. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Thursday April 27, 2006, and from noon to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited on Friday, April 28, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Our Lady Of Good Counsel Catholic Church, where he was a member. A committal service will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
