SARAH PEARL PERRY Sarah Pearl Perry, 23, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 27, 2006. She was a life long resident of San Benito, Texas. Sarah was a graduate of Los Fresnos High School and was attending the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College. Sarah had been a photographer for PCA Studios for the past four years and was also employed by Castlerock Day Care. She attended Hosanna Assembly in Brownsville and was a member of Brownsville Classic Car Club. Sarah was passionate about VW's. She is survived by her parents, Lonnie and Nora Perry; and one brother, Justin Perry of San Benito, Texas; maternal grandparents Onard and Elma Jean Hambelton of Gainsville, Mo.; paternal grandparents Hurshel and Clara Perry (deceased); many uncles, aunts and cousins. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2006, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Hosanna Assembly (2400 El Jardin Heights Road, Brownsville, Texas). All services will conclude at the church. Treviño, Garza Memorial Funeral Home, 1025 E. Jackson St., Brownsville, Texas, (956) 542-5511. JOHN EDWARD RYAN John Edward Ryan was a successful man in business, family, and life. He was born November 3, 1910, in Ireland and passed away March 26, 2006. Mr. Ryan was a true example of the American dream. Having been orphaned as a child in Chicago, he was able to find his way in life and become a man blessed with successful businesses and a loving family. The two most important things in John Ryan's life were his family and his work ethic. Rising early, he was always ready to take on the tasks of the day and always with that special "spring in his step." He founded, owned and operated two companies in Brownsville, JVJ Sales and Gulf Cold Storage. Mr. Ryan was also an astute investor and continued his passion for the financial markets until his last days. Mr. Ryan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vera Lainson Ryan. He is survived and is much loved by his family, his daughter, Jane Sebern and her husband Jack; grandchildren Stacey McCord and husband Nicholas, Jay Sebern, Shari Sebern and Jeffrey Sebern and wife Pamela; great-grandchildren Victoria, Courtney and Dakota Sebern, Ashton Sebern and Ryan McCord. He will be remembered as a generous, devoted and strong central figure in his family and for his impact on multiple generations. Services were held at 11 a.m. yesterday, Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. LUIS GONZALEZ GARCIA Luis Gonzalez Garcia, 65, of Brownsville passed away Tuesday March 28, 2006, at Valley Regional Medical Center with his family by his side. Mr. Garcia was retired from the BISD office after nine years of service at Palm Grove Elementary. He is survived by his wife, Juanita M. Garcia; son Luis G. M. Garcia Jr.; and daughters Patricia G. Rivera and Veronica G, Ayala; his grandchildren, Juan Rivera Jr., Jesse Rivera, Mark Anthony Garcia, Alex Rivera, Amanda Rivera, Michelle Garcia, Ashley Garcia, Benjamen Thomas Ayala and Brandon Scott Ayala; great-grandchildren Desire A. Rivera, Angel Rivera, Layla Rivera, Destiny Rivera, Gabriel Rivera and Mark Luis Garcia; and brothers and sisters Pablo G. Garcia Jr., Roberto Garcia, Concepcion Espinola, Gilbert Duran, Esteban Duran, Antonia D. Gutierrez, Johnny Garcia, David Garcia and Irma Garcia. Pallbearers will be Luis Garcia Jr., Mark Anthony Garcia, Alex Rivera, Pablo Garcia, Robert Garcia and Rigoberto V. Zeron. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, March 30, 2006, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2006, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church followed by interment at Buena Vista Burial Park. MARCELO PERALEZ Marcelo Peralez, 43, entered into Eternal Rest, Sunday, March 26, 2006, surrounded by his beloved family at MD Anderson hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born on August 19, 1962, in Brownsville and had been a life-time resident. Marcelo had worked for numoerous years with the city of Brownsville. He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Peralez, on October, 2, 1998. He is survived by his mother, Maria Anita G. Peralez of Brownsville; five brothers, Eligio of Brownsville, Gilbert of Florenceville, Texas, Daniel Jr. of Brownsville, Jose of Tennesse, Eduardo Peralez of Laredo, Texas; six sisters, Julia Garcia of Brownsville, Lupita Trevino of Houston, Texas, Josefina Peralez of Las Vegas, Maria Sofia Guerra of Brownsville, Ana Ouellette and Rebecca Dangerfield, both of Houston, Texas. He had a total of 24 nephews. There will be a fellowship gathering in remembrance of Marcelo held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2006, at Delta Funeral Directors Chapel.
