OCHOA JR., 85, of Brownsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Valley Regional Medical Center. ROBERTO ROSALES Roberto Rosales, 78, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Valley Grande Manor Nursing Center. He was born on April 8, 1928, in Brownsville where he was also a lifetime resident. He served his country by joining the U.S. Army in his younger years. One of his proudest moments in life was when one of his sons followed in his footsteps by joining the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sylvia V. Rosales; a daughter, Ana Lilia R. Garcia of Columbus, Ohio; three sons, Roberto Rosales Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, Sgt. Raymundo Rosales of Brownsville currently serving in Iraq and Reynaldo Rosales of Mercedes; four grandchildren, Andrea, Oscar Garcia Jr., and Brandon Garcia, all of Columbus, Ohio, and John Rey Rosales of Mercedes, Texas; two brothers, Ramon of San Benito, Texas, and Guadalupe Rosales of Brownsville; one sister, Maria R. Hernandez of Chicago. There will be no funeral services. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Delta Funeral Directors, 1300 E. Harrison St., (956) 542-2222. EVA G. ESCOBEDO Eva G. Escobedo, 73, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville. She was a long time funder and member of Templo Bethel. She is preceded in death by her mother, Genoveva Garcia Lopez, and her father, Edmundo Garcia, and a daughter, Doraluz. Eva Escobedo is survived by her loving husband, Francisco Escobedo; sons Francisco Javier, Romualdo, Ismael and Josaph; daughters Yolanda, Gloria and Leticia. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. today, Friday, April 14, 2006, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Funeral services will continue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Templo Bethel located at 30th Street and Tampico Street. Committal service will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
