By 1920, however, Concepcion was already remarried to someone else and had children through this second marriage. It is a big mystery what happened to her first husband, Ponciano. Descendants of Concepcion and her 2nd husband vaguely remembered hearing that Ponciano had drowned in the Rio Grande, and descendants of Ponciano's siblings seem to recall hearing that he just disappeared and nobody knew what happened to him. There is no death record. I'm wondering if he was missing, if it would have been reported to the police back in those days, or if it would have been in the newspaper. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I live in California, so going places in person isn't an option for me. Thanks!
