The Brownsville Herald - Online Edition OBITUARIES Obituaries, March 21, 2006 JOHN ATKINS STEADMAN, 59, of Key West, Fla., who resided the later part of his life in Brownsville, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006 at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. JUAN LUNA SR., 85, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2006 at Valley Re-gional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are pending under Guerra Funeral Home, 3955 Coffee Port Road, (956) 544-1171. FRANCISCO D. RAMOS, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral arrangements are pending under Delta Funeral Directors, 1300 E. Harrison St., (956) 542-2222. HECTOR DAVID ROBLES SR. Hector David Robles Sr., 45, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Saturday, March 18, 2006. He was born on November 5, 1960 in Brownsville, Texas. He was a graduate of Homer Hanna High School. He was a lifetime resident of Brownsville and a successful prominent businessman. Hector was a wonderful husband and devoted father. Fishing and watching his boys play football were two of his favorite hobbies. He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Robles Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Olivia "Olie" Robles; a daughter, Barbie Robles; two sons, Hector David Robles Jr, and Joshua Brandon Robles; his mother, Bertha Robles; three brothers, Daniel Robles Jr., Ruben Robles, and Rolando Robles; three sisters, Yolanda Mejia, Diana McKeown, and Melba Robles. He is also survived by his brother from another mother, Mike Belleville and many nephews and nieces. Visitation was held from 2:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2006. Visitations will resume from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Tues-day, March 21, 2006 at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. Interment will be held at Buena Vista Burial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Ruben Robles, Rolando Robles, Victor Gonzalez, Mario Gonzalez, Enfrain Gutierrez, and Richard Page. GUADALUPE LOPEZ JR. Guadalupe Lopez Jr., 54, went into eternal peace on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 5 a.m. in Weslaco, Texas. "Pete" was a lifelong resident of Brownsville and a Dallas Cowboys Fan. He worked for Edelstein's Better Furniture for more than 20 years. Mr. Lopez is preceded in death by his mother, Olaya C. Alvarado, and father, Guadalupe T. Lopez, Sr. He is survived by his wife Yolanda G. Lopez; his son, Hector Lopez both of Brownsville; and a sister, Hilda Weaver of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation was held from 1:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. with recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2006. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at Holy Family Catho-lic Church in Brownsville. Committal service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gar-dens. Serving as pallbearers will be Albert Garcia, Ignacio Cadriel, Michael Cadriel, Lam-berto Guitron, Francisco Lopez Jr. and Art Lopez. FRANCISCO ZAPATA Francisco Zapata, 49, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Friday, March 17, 2006 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Dolores Q. Zapata; parents, Roberto Manuel Zapata and Maria Alicia Hernandez de Ramirez; his sisters and brothers, Jesse, Roberto, Antonia, Teresa, Elvira, Rosario, and Aurora Zapata and Santos, Maria Luisa, Rigoberto Hernandez; numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no local services. Funeral services for Mr. Zapata will be held at Funer-ales Inhumaciones Olvera in Matamoros, Tamps., Mexico.
