Services are pending under the direction of Thomae-Garza Funeral Directors. GUADALUPE GARCIA, 31, passed away on March 31, 2006, at Harlingen Medical Center late in the evening. Services are pending with Thomae-Garza Funeral Directors. ANTONIA MEDRANO, 96, of Brownsville, went into eternal rest at her residence April 1, 2006, in Brownsville. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Treviño Funeral Home, 1355 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, (956)542-2583. ANTONIO GARCIA JR. passed away on April 1, 2006, in Brownsville. Funeral services are pending under the care of Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd. Brownsville, (956) 541-5400. ENRIQUE CRUZ SR. Enrique Cruz Sr., 62 years, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 31, 2006, at his residence in Brownsville, Texas, with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 28, 1943, in Tulacingo, Hidalgo, Mexico, to Lorenzo Cruz (who precedes him in death) and Manuela Ornales. Mr. Cruz was a lifetime resident of Brownsville who was a member of the Rio Grande Congregation of Jehovah Witness and had been employed for many years as an auto body repair technician in Brownsville. Left to mourn his death and forever cherish his memory are his loving family, his wife of 45 years of marriage, Emma Lerma Cruz of Brownsville; five children, Isabel Cruz Nunez (Rafael) of Brownsville, Magaly Cruz Silva (Antonio Plaza) of Florida, Henry Cruz Jr., (Victoria), Veronica Cruz and Saul Lerma Cruz (Alma R.), all of Brownsville; 11 grandchildren, Liliana, Armando Jr., Juan Diego Jr., Tammy, Eric, Ruben, Alfredo, Leonardo Jr., Richardo, Amanda Lee and Kimberly Sade; his mother, Manuela Ornelas of Victoria, Mexico; his in-laws, Jesus and Soila Lerma; one brother, Cuauhtemoc Cruz of Houston; one sister, Dora Ornelas de Cedillo of Victoria, Mexico; and numerous other relatives. Visitations were held on Saturday, April 1, 2006, from noon to 9 p.m. and will also be held today, Sunday, April 2, 2006, starting at 9 a.m. with a Chapel Funeral Service to be held at 2 p.m. at Guerra Funeral Home with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his two sons, Henry Cruz, Jr. and Saul Cruz; grandsons Armando De Alba, Ruben Cruz, Alfredo Nunez, Eric De Alba and Leonardo Silva Jr. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Guerra Funeral Home of Brownsville, 3955 Coffee Port Road, (956) 544-1171. DOMINGA L. GARZA Dominga L. Garza, 86, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2006, at her home. She was a native of Selma, Texas, and life-long Brownsville resident. Mrs. Garza was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Her son, Roberto De Leon; daughter-in-law Irma De Leon; grandson Roberto De Leon Jr.; sisters Ignacia Blanco, Carmen L. Mata; brothers Alfonso and Gabriel De Leon preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Daniel (Mary) Salas; daughter Sandra (Pedro, Jr.) Covarrubias; grandchildren Diana Salas Delattre, Danny Salas Jr., Miriam Salas and Daniela Salas; great-grandchildren Eunice and Perla Covarrubias, Ricardo Torres, Jordan Delattre, Noah A. Perez and Cassandra Perales. Visitation will be held today, Sunday, April 2, 2006, from noon to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 3, 2006, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church with Deacon Paul McArdle officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Treviño, Garza Memorial Funeral Home, 1025 E. Jackson St., (542-5511). ARTURO REYNA RAMOS Arturo Reyna Ramos, 48, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2006, at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Brownsville, Texas. Arturo was a very devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed greatly. His parents, Manuel Federico and Manuela Ramos, preceded him in death. He was once employed by Federal Petroleum. Arturo is survived by his wife, Elida F. Ramos, a son Arturo Ramos, Jr., three daughters, Tina (Alfredo) Leyva, Veronica Ramos, and Cassandra (Michael) Ramos, one grandchild, Michael Ivan Sanchez Jr.; five brothers, Conrado Saldivar, Juan, Reynaldo Manuel and Federico Ramos; two sisters, Herminia Gutierrez and Herlinda Lopez; numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday, April 3, 2006, from noon to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Villa Nueva Cemetery. Touchet, 81, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville. He had been a Brownsville resident for most of his life. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Josephine R. Touchet; two daughters, Lilian Broussard and Martha Jo Zamarron; two sons, Lawrence Miller and Arnold Vega; one brother, Dennis Touchet; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held today, Sunday, April 2, 2006, from noon to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 3, 2006, at 2 p.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Her husband, Julio Perez; son Luis Perez; parents Lorenzo and Luz Perez; sisters Hilaria Rocha and Esperanza Garzoria; and a brother, Martin Perez, preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Norma Torres and John Paul Perez, both of Brownsville; brother Gustavo (Angie) Perez of Colorado; sisters Antonia (Rey) Rangel of Austin, Texas, Mary (Hector) Lopez of Katy, Texas, Rosario (Jose) Solis; sister-in-law Nena Perez; grandchildren Vennett Canul and Jacqueline Perez, all of Brownsville, Texas. Visitation will be held today, Sunday April 2, 2006, after 10 a.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be Monday, April, 2006, at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
