Harrison St., (956) 542-2222. INFANT SARA MONTES, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at Valley Regional Medical Center. There will be no local services. Harrison St., (956) 542-2222. EVARISTO NUNEZ, 79, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2006 in Brownsville. Funeral arrangements are pending under Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd., (956) 541-5400. MARIA L. CASTRO Maria L. Castro, 93, born in May 30, 1912 passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 in Brownsville, Texas. She was a long time resident of Brownsville and retired from B.I.S.D. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Felipa Cardenas Lopez and Manuel Solis Castro; children, Andres Castro, Ninfa Castro, Maria S. de la Garza, and David Castro; grandchildren, Belinda Castro and Gilbert Martinez; brothers, Esteban Lopez, Ramon Lopez, Felipe Lopez, Fracisco Lopez, Fernando Lopez, and Roberto Lopez; sisters, Eugenia Lopez and Ofelia Lopez Rivera. Ms. Castro is survived by her children, Manuel Castro of Brownsville, Mike Castro of California, Rafaela (Angel) Villarreal of Brownsville, Felipa C. Lozano of Brownsville, Alberto (Marie) Castro of Houston, Andres Castro and Yolanda Martinez both of Brownsville; 33 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Juan Lopez of Corpus Christi; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Visitation will resume from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with recitation of the holy rosary today, Friday, April 28, 2006 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Committal service will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Torres, Terry Roy Barnard, Richard Padron, Emilio Moreno Jr., Ben Garza Jr., Albert Castro Jr., Raul Martinez III, Javier Martinez and Rudy Martinez. QUANTZ Helga Quantz, 71, went to join her husband, Manfred, and her son, Kenneth, in eternal peace on Monday, April 24, 2006. She is survived by her son, Michael, and his wife, Pamela; grandchildren, Alexander and Olivia; and her sister, Ruth. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 901 Boca Chica Blvd., in Brownsville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the American Red Cross. She was beautiful in a grand and stately way. She was ever kind and generous in a manner that bathed her family in splendor. She was adored by all who knew her. She was magnificent.
