Funeral arrangements are pending under Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd., (956) 546-7111. NORA RENDON MARIN, 49, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, in Porter, Texas. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Harlingen. Interment will follow to Ashland Memorial Gardens. Funeral ar-rangements under Thomae-Garza Funeral Directors, 395 S. Sam Houston Blvd., (956) 399-1331. JOSE ROBERTO "BETO" CONTRERAS SR. Our beloved husband and father, Jose Roberto "Beto" Contreras Sr., 62, has gone to be with the Lord on Sept. 7, 2006, in McAllen, Texas. Dearest dad, you have always been a wonderful, loving and nurturing father. We love you so much and will continue to honor you. Surely, we will miss you, but don't worry, we will be comforted by the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mr. Contreras is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Ambrosia Contreras; his children, Victoriano (Mary Ellen) Contreras, Jose Roberto (Ofelia) Contreras Jr., both of San Benito, Texas, Maria Elena (John Christopher) Allen, and Gricelda (Paul) Leal, both of Brownsville, Texas; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Lidia Gomez and Eloisa Rocha, both of Harlingen, Texas, Rosa Quintero and Eusebio Franco Con-treras, both of Brownsville, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Refugio and Eduvijes Franco Contreras; brother Juan Contreras; and daughter Mar-garita Contreras. Visitation will be held today, Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Fu-neral Home. Visitation will resume Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Both prayer services will be officiated by Reverendo Eliud Gonzalez of Asambleas De Dios Teamplo El Salvador in San Benito. Chapel Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Ro-selawn Memorial Gardens in Brownsville. Pallbearers will be Victoriano Contreras, Jose Roberto Contreras Jr., Paul Leal, Carlos Navarro, John Christopher Allen and Mar-tin Contreras. Sam Houston, San Benito, Texas (956) 399-1331. LEONARDO G. HINOJOSA Leonardo G. Hinojosa was born Sept. 9, 1924, and went to his heavenly home on Sept. 7, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon C. Hinojosa and Guadalupe G. Hinojosa. Mr. Hinojosa is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Amalia M. Hinojosa; his three children, Sylvia (Alfredo) Morales, Carlos (Margaret) Hinojosa Sr. and Juan Miguel (Mary Lou) Hinojosa Sr.; his 10 grandchildren, Carlos (Romanita) Hinojosa Jr., Edgar Alfredo (Amy) Morales, Marco Antonio (Denise) Hinojosa, Orlando Morales, Leonardo "Leo" Hinojosa, Xavier Morales, Juan Mi-guel Hinojosa Jr., Andrew Hinojosa, Gisele Hinojosa and Ashley Hinojosa; his four great-grandchildren, Christina, Alyssa and Madison Morales and Debbie Magallanez; his brother, Emiliano Hinojosa; his five sisters, Evelia Hinojosa, Feliciana Cisneros, Lydia Treviño, all from Brownsville, Hortencia Martinez and Esther Maldonado from Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous nieces; nephews; and other family members. Hannah, 59, of Brownsville, husband, father, brother, friend and faithful follower, believer and servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, was called into Glory on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006. Tommy was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Germany and then requested a tour in Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart and Air Medal. He enjoyed several years raising quarter horses in Los Fresnos and Kerrville, Texas, until his return to Brownsville in 1997. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Hannah of Brownsville; two children, Lisa (Robert) Clive of Brownsville and Cash A. Han-nah of Knoxville, Tennessee; three brothers, Bob Hannah of Corpus Christi, Texas, Donald C. (Carla) Hannah of Colleyville, Texas, and Richard A. Hannah of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Judy Hannah of Dallas, Texas; a step-daughter, Joy (Mike) Waller of Brownsville; two grandsons, Sawyer A. Wright and Lancelot Clive; a step-grandson, Austin L. Laurence; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. today, Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 1200 Mackintosh St. Brownsville, Texas. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion, Post 43 Honor Guard at the service.
