Sam Houston, San Benito, Texas (956) 399-1331. JOSE GOVEA SANDOVAL Jose Govea Sandoval, 75, entered into eternal life on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006 at Valley Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Los Fresnos, Texas and a longtime resident of Brownsville. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Vicente Sandoval and Mrs. Ignacia Govea Sandoval. He is survived by his wife, Emilia Carreno Sandoval and his children, Jose Sandoval, Jr. of Brownsville, Viola Solis of Houston, Magdalena Sandoval-Rodriguez of Houston, Nora Montiel of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sylvestre Sandoval of Brownsville, Susana Cueva of Houston and Adolfo Sandoval of Brownsville, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A brother, Ernesto Sandoval of Wisconsin, sisters Dolores Banda of San Benito, Carolina Ruiz of Laureles, Aurora Yanez of Brownsville, Maria Sandoval of Pearland, Texas, Maria Vicenta Lopez of Laureles and Rosa Rodriguez of Laureles also survive. Visitation was held on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at Treviño Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow to Buena Vista Burial Park, Brownsville, Texas.
